Program Notes: This song, as you could probably guess, is about killing one's mother. It is a passionate threat of death against a mother. This band has a similar style as Lamb of God with obvious influences by Pantera and Iron Maiden. Their sound is built up of the complex rhythms of a Pantera, with the underlying guitars and vocals of a Lamb of God, but with the lead guitar work resembling an Iron Maiden. They were a great group to work with and they came in with a great song. Their heavy metal sound was a challenge to mix, but their great performance in the studio helped me to achieve the production quality I set out for. These guys were a pleasure to work with, they never needed more than three takes to nail their parts, and they were always making sure that we all had a good time in the studio.
