Mike Cappellucci

Bio: Mike Cappellucci is a striving producer and engineer. He is well rounded when it comes to operating programs such as Pro Tools and Reason. When it comes to working in the studio, Mike is easy to work with and will make compromises when necessary. Mike Cappellucci plans to move out to New York after graduating college and begin his career in the music industry. While being a good people-person, having a good ear for music, and staying on top of changes in the industry, Mike Cappellucci is a good asset to any project.

Program Notes: Pink Lemonade is a song that came about from sitting in a room listening to a sample from a rap that Rashad, aka Ghost, came up with for one of my tracks. As he was reciting each line, I wanted to name the song but I wanted it to be unique and different. Once Ghost got to the part in his flow where I decided the chorus would be, he began with, "Pink lemonade spilt on the white tee." It was at that moment when I decided to name the song "Pink Lemonade." Not only because he says it in the song, but also because it stands for so much more. Metaphorically, it stands for all the same trends that aren't changing in hip-hop and because the song is about how Ghost is different that all of it, it fit perfectly because you have to listen to the song to understand it.
