We will be using the following textbooks for Audio Production II:

  • Recording and Production Techniques, Second Edition, by Paul White (2002, Sanctuary Publishing, ISBN: 1-86074-443-5).
  • It is absolutely necessary that you purchase this book.

  • Modern Recording Techniques, Sixth Edition, by David Miles Huber and Robert Runstein (Oxford: Focal Press, 2005, ISBN: 0-240-80625-5). [previously used in MTEC-101]

This book is available at the Mercy College Bookstores online, at Dobbs Ferry, and at White Plains (for two weeks only). These stores accept book vouchers. If you are paying for your own books, you may purchase it at Music Books Plus or at discount booksellers such as Amazon and Barnes & Noble. I do not endorse any particular vendor.

In addition to the text, we will use the Reference Manual for Digidesign Pro Tools LE 7.0 software. This will be provided in .pdf (Adobe Acrobat) format via Pipeline. In addition, there will be several handouts covering specific audio equipment and software.
