As a Producer, I bring a number of skills together to bring in a great project for my clients. Because of my engineering background, I can efficiently communicate with an engineer to achieve the technical results the record needs. My background in music composition and arranging allows me to quickly identify problems in the arrangement or groove. I also have considerable experience working with vocalists which I use to gently bring out their best takes.
I spend considerable time on a project in pre-production. I have found this eliminates wasted time in the studio. Consequently, I can often work within smaller budgets and still produce good results. Nevertheless, I take great care with a record and am always willing to sweat (though not obsess) over the small details that make a record transcend the ordinary.
